The Coral Income Fund “CIF” is an open ended, income-based unit trust scheme, which was launched in June 2006. The Fund’s structure permits a maximum investment of 30% in quoted equities, while the balance is invested in high-quality fixed-income securities. The primary objective, therefore, of the CIF is to achieve capital preservation over the long-term. The CIF was established to provide investors with an investment outlet that provides stable but competitive returns in excess of inflation.

This Fund enables investors to preserve capital and achieve stable and consistent income flow. This Fund is suitable for conservative investors who typically seek to achieve capital preservation and not capital growth.

Initial investors must invest an initial minimum of N50, 000.00. Additional minimum investments of N10, 000.00 can be made thereafter.

Redemption can be made after a five business days notice has been given in writing to the Fund Manager, FAML

Our target investors for this Fund are individual investors with low risk appetite such as retirees, pensioners and institutional investors such as retirement benefit schemes, insurance companies, co- operatives, endowment funds, fund managers, banks, investment clubs and associations, etc. In addition, Nigerian citizens based abroad as well as other foreign individual & institutional investors can invest in the CIF.

  • Diversification of your Investment

  1. The CIF is an alternative asset to include in your total investment portfolio and can serve as a benchmark for your other investments.
  2. The diversified nature of the CIF also implies that as an investor in the CIF you are an investor in several high quality companies at the same time.
  • Professional Expertise of the Manager

You are relieved of the day-to-day administrative burden of:

  1. making investment decisions
  2. collecting dividend warrants and share certificates from the Registrars
  3. eliminating unauthorised sale of your shares
  4. reconciling your CSCS statement
  • Borrowing

Investments in the CIF can also serve as collateral for a facility from any financial institution, subject to their internal credit policy.

The CIF enables investors to establish and manage, on an on-going basis, a savings plan that can serve as a pension plan, asset replacement plan, health plan, education plan etc.
  • Ability to exchange units of the Funds managed by the Manager

Unit holders in the CIF can exchange all or a portion of their units in the fund for units of any other unit trust scheme managed by the Fund Manager. This benefit will enable investors adjust their investment portfolio from time to time with their prevailing views and risk preferences.
